Last night, I ordered the Tenth Doctor's Shoes from zappos.com for my Donna Cosplay. It was really all an excuse to buy another pair of hightop Chucks, because they are The Best and dude, they are soooo in style these days. Also I've wanted the Doctor's shoes ever since he first put them on, and one day I will find his fabric and make that daggum suit and be Girl!Doctor. It's obvious to me that Ten is "my doctor" and even if they manage to give him hundreds of new regenerations and the show is still running when I'm oooold, if ever I start going to scifi cons I'll still want to go as Ten.
ANYWAY I just chose the regular free shipping on the shoes because although the plan is to have them well worn in by August so my feet will be happy I certainly don't need them before next week. Well apparently zappos thought otherwise! I got this email in my inbox and I didn't check it because I thought it was just an update on my package [like, you get one for them receiving the order, one to confirm payment, one to etc etc etc] but when I clicked it finally it was the following:

So dudes! I am telling all of you about Zappos.com, because they are THE BESTEST. I see only one reason not to exclusively purchase shoes from them, and that's if you have an *exact* shoe in mind that they don't have. But they likely *do* have it in stock and if you email them they will dig it up for you or something crazy like that.
For serious, I am always amazed when someone doesnt already know about zappos. That's like not knowing about lolcats.
Tonight, I get to watch the David Tennant Casanova AND the Secret Smile, a horrible murder thriller romance thing also starring David Tennant. My ovaries are wibbling with delight!
