HAPPY FIC I THOUGHT I COULD WRITE YOU BUT I CANT WRITE YOU

WHY IS EVERYTHING SO SECRETLY TRAAAAAAGIC

ETA: Wrote it. Had to cut out over 150 words, probably more if I hadn't noticed the wordcount early on. I cleaned it up and submitted it already. WHAM BAM.

I don't understand people who hesitate before submitting their pthon challenge. I mean, sure, you *can* do that, I don't think *less* of you, I'm just... why??? Do you actually make *changes* ever? I can't stand the thought that I might FORGET to submit mine, or that it's just floating in my gdocs, task UNFINISHED. D:

HAPPY FIC I THOUGHT I COULD WRITE YOU BUT I CANT WRITE YOU

I HAVE SUFFERED FROM THE SAME UP UNTIL...TODAY, I THINK. WE SHALL SEE.

I have waited on pthon entries the few times I've written them early enough to let them cool. Even the space of a day makes a difference in how I read the finished product, so it's nice to get that perspective sometimes. And then there are other times where I've just not been certain of the entry and don't necessarily want to commit to it yet. DO I DARE? IS THIS UTTER SHIT? DO I LIKE MY SECTION BREAKS? etc.

Usually I am my most productive at the middle of the night, so I will write my entry in a flurry of sleeplessness. When I do that, I always feel it is better to wait on submitting it until the next day, because WHO KNOWS what sort of nonsensical things I may have written accidentally?

Mmm. Well, I wait because I edit better after it sits a day. Also, I tend to be over the wordcount and need to chop it down, first, and that is different sometimes than straight editing work. I definitely make changes- in fact, I have to be careful that I don't hold onto it forever in edit-land.
